With two children and a full calendar, I rely on micro-rituals: a shared playlist after school, Sunday tea, and nightly wins. These small moments build a sense of safety and belonging that lasts all week.
A simple ritual plan
- Pick a time that already exists (school pickup, bedtime, dinner).
- Add one repeatable action (song, question, or shared snack).
- Keep it short and consistent.
Rituals do not have to be fancy. They just need to be reliable.
